Dont focus healers

Call me crazy but every time I se the little symbol to focus this target, its almost always on a healer and we always fail. This isn't WoW or overwatch. The healers are tanky af. Ive noticed we win games when we focus on the dps not the healers. But every game we focus on the wrong target and the opposing team absolutely does not. Damn I wish I can type in game because its frustrating. Almost every time I win its because my team focused on a healer and when we lose its because we did not and the other team did. Aggravating.

Maybe its just a plat thing. Maybe I'm just bad. Either way I want to hear thoughts on this. Game mode is of course too early to really tell whats effective but this is how I feel initially during the grind to plat mostly on red mage but stopped climbing after deciding to try other classes.

Even in Diamond if you try to focus the WHM you'll just fail and die. ESPECIALLY when WAR is up. I can't tell you how many games I've won as WAR simply because people are absolute morons and don't bother touching my HP at all aside from AOEs. Even in Diamond promos people just don't give me as much attention as the healer and they end up never being able to even touch the healer because I SPECIFICALLY keep my gameplay around the team and the objective.

tl;dr WAR will make your life WAY harder than a single polymorph every 20s and a laser every 70s even AT the bugged speed.

WAR, WHM, RDM, and SMN are all incredibly high priority targets.

It all boils down to how quick you can focus 1 person down. I've seen WHM pop like balloons under the dogpile of a full team commit.

If there's a WAR alive and you aren't focusing them, you WILL be losing shortly.

Priority is always WHM first...WAR can come afterwards, but the WHM has to go thanks to that Cure II spam.

The exception is if someone overextends. I've seen tanks die first just because they thought they were invulnerable and paid no attention to positioning.

90% of my "BM" is dropping a good match at the start because a "tank" just sprinted into mid out the gates gap closed into their team and died in 2 globals, no purify, no guard, just dead. Generally at that level of misplay idiocy I just assume weve lost. I still fight like hell but if you werent smart enough to not do that in the first place your not suddenly going to get smarter mid match.

Yeah I pretty much target mark the first two idiot who target me which are dps Nin specifically or DRG are the ones. Ngl some are p good and ham me. But I blame my team for not getting them off me when I clearly marked them and they are DPS not tanks or healers. I'll sometimes mark DRK or WAR, those are deadly too
