All I'm saying is it's a terrible reason for people to get on a chocobo/teleport/walk/whatever just to go get acheivments unlocked or turn in for titles.
I hope this isn't what they consider worthwhile content for exploration.

It'll make more sense in 2.0 when the world is more interesting and we have other incentives to explore.
Also, since achievement progress is tracked even before you unlock the category, people don't have to feel rushed to spend anima unlocking them or whatever. They can just do it the next time they happen to be in the area.

I really don't think it's a terrible thing. These NPCs aren't even at remote location, but at locations that you are most likely to arrive at or go by at any given time in the game. Because of this, there's no reason to remove this at all. If anything why going to NPC to unlock achievements (let alone unlocking title) is a problem is beyond me. Your achievements are already tracked regardless of unlocking it or not, so even with this in mind, it's not even a rush at all.

I find it odd that people are so reluctant to explore, even when give a perfectly good reason. The funny thing is that theres a large group of Achievement dudes in Golden Bazaar alone. And the rest will probably be seen through leveling or taking part in quests and other events like Hamlet.I really don't think it's a terrible thing. I vote keep the requirement to talk to the Achievement NPCs.
When all else fails, Heck the Bed.
