With the lottery debacle you have now put yourselves in an impossible situation where you will not be able to fix anything in a way that will satisfy everybody.

Rollback? What about the ppl that already did win?

Leave as is and at least give ppl that got 0'd a second chance? Well since zero was included in the pool of participants in the first place many of the ppl that lost to other players on other plots are never going to be satisfied with the integrity of the original lottery.

However I'm writing this because I want to remind you that FFXIV is where it is today because you all took bold and drastic measures.

FFXIV 1.0 was a trashfire, yet despite that it still had fans and ppl that did enjoy the game in that state. To fix the game y'all took a big risk, burned it all down and started over, and ultimately attracted many more players with 2.0 and beyond.

FFXIV PvP is something that I've always enjoyed. During my time playing this game y'all have burned down PvP twice! This 3rd iteration launched with 6.1 seems to have finally hit the mark and many more players are engaging with PvP now.

So you want to fix Housing? Stop throwing bandaids on the old system and burn it all down and start over.

If you insist on keeping wards then at least expand the features available so that plots are upgradeable/downgradeable to different housing sizes if the player chooses (for a cost in gil).

However wards are never going to meet the demands of the amount of players that desire to participate with the housing system. In my opinion, Housing is at the point where drastic measures need to be taken. Burn it all down and replace it with some form of instance housing that can dynamically scale to meet the needs of any amount of players that choose to engage with it.

Is this going to make some ppl unhappy? Sure. Though I would hazard a guess that the amount of ppl unhappy with this change would still be less than the amount of ppl that were unhappy with changes from 1.0 to 2.0, or the amount of ppl unhappy with two major changes made to PvP over the years.
