    The loot tables need fixing

You can now win accessories from chests that appear after boss battles. They used to be locked in other chests outside of boss rooms but it seems that this patch has them worked in all chess. So far, I've got this confirmed for 50-80 roulette and expert (won an earring from chest after Smileton last boss).

Intentional or not, I'm not fond of this at all.

That would be because the first three level 90 dungeons - Smileton, Dead Ends and Stigma Dreamscape - ONLY drop accessories. The only way to "fix" that loot table would be to introduce more and different loot to those dungeons, there simply isnt anything other than accessories that could drop there right now.

For the new dungeon, unless that is actually messed up, no accessories should appear in the last boss chest.

To be fair, many of us have run capstone dungeons so many times they sort of start to blur together after a while, so it's kind of understandable.

But yeah, this is actually a consistent pattern for them: the first three dungeons at the end of an expansion (the one MSQ dungeon that ends the story, and the two optional ones) only drop a set of endgame accessories which goes with your job-specific artifact gear. The level 90 artifact gear you get in Old Sharlayan is i560, and has no accessories; the i560 accessories that go with those set are from those three Expert Mode dungeons. Back with the level 80 dungeons at the end of ShB, the first few -- Amaurot, the Twinning, and Akadaemia Anyder -- also only dropped accessories that were the right-hand side (and belt) of the gear-level that had your job artifact gear on the left. The "Weathered" artifact gear you got was i430, as were the Amaurotine accessories/belts. The first endgame armor dropped by a dungeon was the Warg gear dropped in the Grand Cosmos, when 5.1 landed.

Presumably when 7.0 comes out a few years from now, the pattern will continue to hold; the final MSQ dungeon and the two optional ones available at expansion launch will only drop accessories that go with the level 100 artifact gear.

I do feel like it's a problem in the older dungeons as well. When they took away belts they didn't add more chance of getting anything else; the first boss just became shoes or nothing instead of shoes or belt.

On the upside they seem to have added gear to some mid-dungeon chests in the level 60 dungeons but it's still only a chance of getting them. After several runs of the Arborteum I saw a few extra gloves and hats but no shirts anywhere except the final boss.

They're just so frustratingly stingy with this loot when it has even less gameplay value than the levelling gear.

Having been running some levelling dungeons trying to get gear pieces, I am suspecting that the loot tables for all dungeon chests have been shuffled around and levelling dungeons are giving less gear overall as a result.

This needs more investigating but it is my current hunch. Unfortunately it is somewhat anecdotal and unconfirmable, as I can't wind back to see what it was previously doing.

I thought the levelling dungeons were previously a bit more generous and less structured with which gear came from which coffers, while the endgame dungeons followed a strict "shoes or belt from boss 1, hat or gloves from boss 2, shirt or pants from boss 3" pattern, plus (I think) a guaranteed accessory in each chest. Then, as I noted in my older post above, they took away belts and turned the first boss from "shoes or belt" to "shoes or equal chance of nothing at all" and you only get the accessory.

This seems to be the case in levelling dungeons as well, and I feel like the non-boss chests are dropping gear less reliably than they used to. I thought they used to always have one gear piece, but now it seems to have gone to only a chance, as I believe has been the system for endgame dungeons since at least level 70 and now seeming to have been applied back to the level 50/60 dungeons.

I may be jumping to conclusions but I wanted to make note of it. Certainly the first boss is often only giving an accessory and no gear.
