Hi,

I have been enjoying the new PvP, I haven't touched it since the last GARO collab.

Now you have a fun mini game that could have made FFXIV so much more complete than before.

Could've made it a lot better and attract a whole new player base, but sadly it won't.

The matchmaking algorithm seems to hate you, I know what you where trying to achieve, but it doesn't work in practice.

Pair people within the same bracket or some of us will not be able to carry the party or we drag down the people in upper echelons. Not fair when I am the highest, not fair when I'm the lowest. Do not want to get carried, but also do not appreciate getting dragged down.

I have made it to Bronze 1 once, only to lose all my stars with a 10 in a row losing streak. Sa:rolleyes:

The ruthless star system was a bad idea, especially if you cannot party up, and grow as a team of likeminded friends, since you can only solo play in a game mode designed to require cooperation and communication.

like it is right now, stars should not be removed, or removed only after you lose 3 times in a row (which happens most of the time anyway due to bad party compositions, lack of communication capabilities and forced to play team content as a singular player).

TL/DR:

Creating a competitive e-sport that is fun and engaging is an achievement, removing player agency by making it all be RNG is frustrating in the end as a player experience and makes you kinda want to forget about the whole ordeal and don't touch it again with a 10 foot pole.
