I saw someone make a suggestion to say that BLM has no weakness and can deal best damage against all monsters in the game...

Seriously. If there is a thunder mob to be released, I'd only want a tweak to fire and ice damage to compensate slightly. When the flavor of the patch asks for security in the future, they realize their job is unbalance and are trying to secure dominance. I'm of the opinion that Black Mage could stand to be taken down a notch, actually. The current mechanics in the game favor magic damage over all others in many circumstances.

While I'm not exactly opposed to that, there needs to be some sort of teamwork element that allows Melee's to become more important or more useful in these circumstances. The same mechanic can be utilized to balance off weaknesses in Mage damage in the future.

I've said it many times - combination skills are the answer to MANY balance and party issues in this game, I really should make my own thread suggesting it.
