Why do FCs get 75% of the wards?

Why is SE allocating basically 75% of the wards to FCs? This makes zero sense to me. Some servers don’t even have enough FCs to fill 18 wards.

I was so excited to transfer to Ishgard but now with only 5 wards for personal combined with transfers having to compete in the lottery as well I basically can kiss that snowy dreamscape goodbye.

I guess apartment it is then. Also? What happens to those of us in wards now designated as FC housing, do we get ejected from our private homes?

Honestly, FCs need them more. There’s stuff FCs can only do in their own house that single players can’t. Don’t worry, there will be more wards.

They didn’t take away homes from people with multiple houses and they won’t take them away for this. If that plot goes vacant, it’ll change though.

This is great for two main reasons and I will die on this hill!

1) FC housing can house many different people unlike private housing.

2) They make our neighborhood system much more alive since there’s more people in the neighborhood thanks to multiple people sharing a FC house.

Also in patch 6.2 we get private Island sanctuaries which each come with their own house. This should help fill the need for private houses.

Because FCs have more than one person, so they can satisfy housing needs for more people per plot this way. Welcome to communal living.

I assume with the way it's written that the old wards will just stay the way they are until people start moving out from the first lotteries, and when those plots go up for sale they will only be for FCs.

Aw, that sucks. Only 6 wards for players? I thought it would be more evenly split. I'm kind of regretting not making more use of my afk placard clicking macro now...but NOOO! I just had to wait and have a house in Ishagrd. Oh well, at least I'll have my cozy apartment bar to drown my sorrows away while staring at the fire in the fireplace.

And who says everyone gets into the Island Sanctuary? Also plenty of us want a home to enjoy without an FC.
