AoE hate generation issue??

There are no hate generation issues. Tank stance gives a 10x multiplier, which means someone else has to do 10x as much damage as the tank in order to pull aggro off them. If a tank were doing nothing but their step 1 AoE, no equally geared DD would do 10x that much damage even with single target attacks. A DD might have one specific attack that can do more damage than that, but these are on timers or resource locks and not sustainable, and the next tank AoE would get the mob's attention back.

If someone's having problem maintaining aggro with tank AoEs, there might be a gear problem or a radius problem (teach people who have aggro to run to you instead of away), but not a hate generation problem.
