But not in a naïve way. I get SE wanted FC's to more easily get a hold of plots, particularly large and mediums, but the fact is that the amount of small plots for FC's is entirely too much. By dividing purely on ward any distribution is going be skewed. What we need to see is wards with mixed use based on size. I am all for giving the lions share of large houses to FC's, hell even most of the mediums, but there just aren't that many houseless FC's that 75% of smalls need to be purely for them. Hell most FC's small enough to be fine with a small are probably alts or a couple friends where the difference between an FC house and personal house is almost moot.
Now I'm not going top propose as completely different system, as realistically I don't see that happening any time soon save for maybe Island Sanctuary. Maybe we could get some medium and large apartments as well, but for current instance housing I think SE really needs to do something like:
Wards 1-6
- L - Free Company Only
- M - Free Company Only
- S - Free Company Only
Wards 7-12
- L - Free Company Only
- M - Free Company Only
- S - Mixed
Wards 13-18
- L - Free Company Only
- M - Mixed
- S - Individual Only
Wards 19-24
- L - Individual Only
- M - Individual Only
- S - Individual Only
They really needed to be more granular with their distribution. Most players are fine with a small, where as FC's have much more demand for Mediums and particularly for Large's. There is also the fact that individual neighbourhoods will probably be much less packed as outside of venue's most of the population in wards tends to come from FC housing. Mixing in FC's with individual houses is a better way to distribute activity and by having variance in the distribution we can have a larger variety of neighbourhood character with the first few FC only wards tending to be much busier but also having quieter neighbourhoods of only player homes.
