No matter what people will still be angry. I for one enjoy the neighborhood life of the housing and actively try to make the wards I'm in active. To the people complaining of dead wards, are you actively trying to make friends in the wards? Visit other people's places? Relax and chat in them? Or are you just popping in and out, running past houses and not even looking inside them and seeing their owners designs?
Patient and hard work is rewarded. Instanced housing would ruin the feeling of having an actual spot in the world Eorzea and will negatively affect the RP community as a whole.

There's lot of FC and players that are trying for years and no luck.

And there are those who have tried for years and succeeded. Appartments are a thing but people want more. Maybe islands will solve the instanced housing issue but I bet people still won't like the fix. If people want housing then allow the demolition again. Wards and plots will open.

Do you honestly think half the people posting are going to actively use their housing plot or just make something then rarely visit it ever again loke so many plots in the older districts? If they have been laying for years then they would have a house. Simple as that. From what I'm seeing they want ine when it's convenient for them instead of basically trying to farm a house like a relic weapon or a new raid.

A neighborhood is a community grouping of people who all equally contribute to a better living area. Log in. Whisper your neighbors. Visit friends areas/fcs. It's not something you just grt without work

I think you know that patience does not pay off all of the time.

Just because you or myself or someone else got lucky does not mean we should lose sympathy for players who will have to wait longer and the very possible scenario will never get to own a plot, and then basically pat them on the shoulder and say "be patient" when really we mean, "I got what I wanted. Too bad for you."
Every player who wants to should be able to experience housing, without too much of an issue. Apartments are too expensive for bare minimum IMO but that's another topic.

Dead wards = lack of visible players around. I for one, do hang outside of my FC house because it's pretty and not a bunch of random items placed out front or inside.

We regularly have events and 3 statics that gather every other evening and our meeting spot is the FC house, crafting bell and MB right by it makes it more of a convenience.

My shared house is me and my sister and we are constantly switching up the decor. I rarely see anyone outside though. And when I do, it's the same 2 or 3 people.

Players will stay angry because:
1) Limited housing.
2) Bots are allowed to own entire wards and RMT on off sites and it's not always obvious when it's a click bot.

I think if more personal housing plots and wards dedicated to personal housing opened up- it wouldn't help ease the entire situation but it could help loosen the belt notch a little.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with instanced housing in addition to wards. In fact, I believe it's a necessary addition to the game and would personally love being able to upgrade the floor plan of my apartment to that of an existing house. I'd be more than happy to pay the current full price of the ward house of the corresponding size to get this.

Adding actual housing options with interior decorating as ward houses have now to Island Sanctuaries would be an awesome. Hell, I wouldn't even begrudge the money I spent on a ward house if they made actual housing on Island Sanctuaries free for all comers.

I will say this and keep saying it. With the demolition timer off atm it 100% is harder. That's on SE and Yoshi being nice during this long pandemic. I've had friends change servers right before endwalker to get a house.l and that wasn't to long ago. I scanned wards and camped placards during the start of shadowbringers when the population spiked and got one. 100% if you were actively trying to get a house for years you would have one. Maybe not the house you originally wanted but a house none the less.

Right now it's close to impossible but instead of adding wards shorted the demolition timer to 20days instead if 35 and you will plots open up like last time the timer was actively being used
