You can only see those items if you've run the raid and it's in your inventory or temporarily in your text log. There isn't the same need for things you can browse from in-game shops, although it would still be nice to not have to travel to something like seven different cities, the Wolves' Den and the Gold Saucer to try on everything.
The goal with the dream fitting was to make sure people are happy with spending even more money on a look. It just seems a waste of time to put something like that out there, especially when we have a lot of options already available for checking out what things will look like. Eorzea Collection and BadWolfy (YT) come to mind.

Having tried it out, I feel like it might be a tall order to expect a full catalog of gear to be loaded into a space you need to access in complete isolation with load times.
