I'm sure this has been discussed already but I think it bears repeating.

The current messaging is that series rewards become unearnable after the series has passed. The in-game help for PvP says that earned series rewards can still be claimed until the next season has finished, but says nothing about being able to earn them.

This is a bad idea. Even if you could still earn the rewards for 1 more season, it's still a bad idea if they go away forever after that. I get that the devs want to encourage participation, but doing it with FOMO tactics is frustrating as it feels as though we are being forced to play lest we miss out. It is also unfair to future players and anyone who might not be able to play for extended periods of time due to life circumstances.

The rest of the game has a good, long track record of keeping rewards available forever. We all accept that some rewards that are hard now will be easy in the future, and are fine with that. Why is this philosophy not extended to PvP? Series progression is not even intended to be hardcore, so it's just strange to design all these rewards and then lock them away forever to anyone who didn't play during that patch.

I guess maybe they are afraid that people will not participate if they know they can get the rewards any time? I think that's not true, but I understand they want to encourage continuous participation in PvP instead of short focused grinds.

Here is my proposed compromise: When a series ends, the rewards become unavailable for a period of 1 year. After 1 year has passed they become purchasable with trophy crystals, with the price proportional to the series level needed to earn the reward. e.g. A lvl 25 reward might need 15-20k crystals.

This encourages people to get the rewards while they are up, without simply making them unavailable forever.
