It's because this game doesn't have legitimate competition. If it did, they would find a way to fix housing issues overnight and Hrothies would actually have ears with their new hairstyles. Actual competition, mind you. Not some korean style BDO that I already forgot what the title was.

The devs are going to get feedback, whether they read it or not, whether you and others like you trying to shut it down like it or not, and if the devs don't pay heed to it? Well, they can spend the next few months scratching their heads when people eventually do begin unsubbing.

Yep, even I have been considering taking a long break, if this game's direction continues this downward spiral. Like waiting until the next expansion. I've always taken breaks, but never that long before, and I usually stay subbed (at least periodically) during my breaks. I've never been a person who puts my money where my mouth is. I still spent on fantasias, all the while complaining about the state of viera, and I still remain subbed (I haven't played the game much since mid-January).

It hasn't failed, it's still insanely popular and has just as many players. For a failed game, it's probably still joint biggest MMO with FFXIV rather than having a clear lead. New expansion announcement on Tuesday anyway so unless they're going to be majorly out of touch again, there could easily be an exodus the other way.
