I really hope SE is keeping track of the bids on housing, because I think it will help address the largest problem we have with housing - raw available house count.

With the new FC/individual housing split, we can see that there are 60 houses per ward, only 6 wards for individual houses, and 5 residential districts. This totals to 1800 houses per server.

While trying to strategically bid on the right house, we took some metrics on bids up to 12 hours before the lottery closed, and counts of bids for individual houses on Cactaur ranged from 3-20 (although this went up after I stopped counting). The 3s were all Small houses, Mediums were a minimum of 5, and Larges were a minimum of 8.

I know SE really doesn't want any empty wards, and is trying to slightly underestimate the player interest in individual housing, but even a conservative estimate would say that the demand is around 5 times the current supply. Therefore if they added another 12 wards per residential area of only individual housing, they would still fill up.

We really need MORE housing, just in any way. I plead with SE to check the numbers themselves and consider the larger servers like Cactaur (Balmung, Gilgamesh, etc) and prioritize more wards. It is a little insulting that we keep getting new furniture in seasonal events to hoard, since getting rid of them is permanent and we have nowhere to use them.
