I'd rather they just query the database for a list of houses where 0 won, then for each one remove people who took out the money, and re-roll with the remaining names, awarding the plot.
After sitting on mine for 5 days, stressed each time someone ran past, I don't want to go through it again, but this time lose.
I disagree on the removing people who took out the money part.
A lot of people will have just taken it out not knowing it was a bug, or on instinct.
They shouldn't be penalized for that, and it's unfair to them to just remove them from the running.
While I appreciate Yoshi's post - there is no mention of making thing right for people who took part in the first round of the lottery. Sounds like they are looking to fix it to move forward. No mention about anything else. I hope that we are treated with the same fairness as the 'lovely people' who were allowed to keep their whole wards of housing.
Me and a free company member won lots, a medium and a small one. I clamied the medium one, and he tried to get his refund. He was refunded his gil, it then switched our lots to his for him CLAIMING his money back. Now I'v lost 20 million, the medium lot is not longer ours and we are currently stuck with the small lot ...that we never claimed ....as if we had. :|
For anyone who is worrying about an article released.
So, if the player put Gil in and pulled it out due to not knowing it was a bug. The player's data was still there; I firmly believe you will NOT be kicked out or lose your chance at the lottery.Yoshida says that the team has the lottery data and that it is possible for them to confirm the status of entry applications through database server logs. They are using these to ensure that players will not be negatively affected if they accept the refund of their Gil deposit after losing a lottery that suffered from one of the issues mentioned above.
EX: You went to buy a house, did not know it was a bug, pulled your Gil out. It was a bug, so now you believe you're kicked out/locked out of chances of getting the house. If you inspect the bugged house, it will still account for you. I believe SE will not just lock you out, and that would be quite penalized. As for the folks who bidded on a house, only they were the winner. I believe you will most likely receive the house. I doubt they would reopen the lottery system to new participants because that would be unfair for those who lucked out and got a house by themselves. Also, the house I bidded on had 5 people; I believe it will stay 5 people.
Now again the quote is released and viewable so that is 100% that people that refunded will be fine. Remember you still have to "give" your Gil upon taking the house. So don't freak out to badly~
Nothing I say though besides the quote is set in stone. This could be a very possibly solution. If they reroll with remaining people, some people took out and locked them out, and this could make this even worse.
