Well it is assuming they back up things regularly. The issue is that the game has been running for a while even after the emergency maintenance.

It doesn’t take experience in coding to realize that rolling back one account or one plot is a lot easier and far more feasible to do than rolling back entire housing wards. This affects not only Ishgard but the other four as well. It has very little to do with “keeping their own gains” and everything to do with logic and practicality. This argument fails to take either into consideration simply because it goes against the hand wavey and finger pointy premise of it.

People who lost when they were the only one's that bid on the house should be given the plot they bid on. That is the only fair way to address this problem.

Just telling them, "Oh well they can enter when it comes up again," is not a solution because now there will be far more people bidding because there are fewer plots remaining.

And someone who lost to no one, only to then lose again in a new round of bidding will forever be that group of people who were cheating out of a house that was rightfully theirs due to a bug.

Why would they rollback and devastate the people who won their houses? I don't think they will do that at all, they never removed the houses from people with whole wards when they changed their housing, they won't take ours away over a buggy lotto. Pretty nasty to even ask for tbh, salt at losing/bug shouldn't make you want to punish other people for it.

If I had to guess, they may re-roll those who lost to a "0" entry and rush in new wards to compensate for this debacle. It's what happened back when Shirogane released and the launcher broke for half the playerbase.

I was among the lucky ones who won their house, already applied expensive house skin (shirogane castle walls, large), and put down some long carried decorations, trees and whatnot. The idea that all of it will get scrapped and i'd have to go through all this AIDS again is just as absurd andfirmly believe they won't do that. What I do want tho, is that the ppl who lost to ZERO, those ppl should be re-run. And if they were the only participants, they should be given the house outright. Sure, put some human resources into it and sort it out, possible the coder genius who is about to be fired for this, let them atone by fixing it individually!!! Might take a few days. But rolling EVERYONE back?? no, that's just NOT going to happen.

I feel for the people who lost their houses to a coding error, but rolling back everyone is not the solution. There are already a ton of houses in my ward that put up expensive houses and were ecstatic themselves. I finally won a house myself and I have been trying to get a house since Sophia dropped (Balmung life - I joined that server as a new player because of my friends). I would be absolutely devastated if they took that away from me instead of going through each house individually.

But spend the man-power to give the houses that glitched out to their proper winners? Absolutely. New wards to compensate for this? ABSOLUTELY.

In Lodestone Yoship already stated that this is a major issue. You are winning based on code that has major issue in it. So it's not a win, but an unintended win, in other word glitch, and they should respect the others that don't win, not just that one dude that happen to appear winning because of that glitch.

They aren't going to remove houses from the winners who cashed in. They will most like reroll the houses affected by the 0 glitch. There are lots of people who accepted the bids/wins and who have already set up their houses. Expecting a complete roll back is wishful thinking by those who got affected by the bug and frankly from those who lost the lottery and who would simply like a reroll.

I suspect just about everyone who saw they lost got a refund already and they can't be put back into the lottery for rerolls.
