How could you lose the lottery when you (and your fc members) the only participant?

It seems it works for some people but not others. A few houses on my server got claimed ( including my own ) but many others get this bug.
I wonder why and what is causing it or if it's only a visual bug or something?? I heard not taking the refund might be worth a shot?

My speculation is that Square Enix put Zero as one of the participant. The one that works, is simply the lottery that rolls other than zero. That would explain why most of Zero as winning number happens in FC wards, because there weren't much bids in there at the first place, meanwhile on Private Housing, there are decent amount of bids so it's very high chance that real person get it instead of Zero.

I disagree. Why should you have your house rolled back and pray for RNG to bless you again when you have already won? It's 100 % understandable for houses that got absolutely no winners, that sucks a lot and I'm all for rolling back the lottery and re-drawing it ( without allowing new entries btw to not mess up original chances! ) But the houses that have been claimed should not be taken away from the winners again imo. That's just going to make people furious too.

Depends on the bug. If the bug is plot related, then only roll those plots that has Zero as winner.
But, If the bugs really because of the flaw in how the winning numbers are generated (thus affecting all the participants), then it would only fair to be rerolled for everyone. Otherwise that would be unfair for participants that didn't win because of the flawed code, and only fair to that one dude that happens to win.

I was among the lucky ones who won their house, already applied expensive house skin (shirogane castle walls, large), and put down some long carried decorations, trees and whatnot. The idea that all of it will get scrapped and i'd have to go through all this AIDS again is just as absurd andfirmly believe they won't do that. What I do want tho, is that the ppl who lost to ZERO, those ppl should be re-run. And if they were the only participants, they should be given the house outright. Sure, put some human resources into it and sort it out, possible the coder genius who is about to be fired for this, let them atone by fixing it individually!!! Might take a few days. But rolling EVERYONE back?? no, that's just NOT going to happen.

In Lodestone Yoship already stated that this is a major issue. You are winning based on code that has major issue in it. So it's not a win, but an unintended win, in other word glitch, and they should respect the others that don't win, not just that one dude that happen to appear winning because of that glitch.

Happened to my FC as well. 11 entries, all us. And winning lottery number was 0

Yep same. Bid on a large plot with 3 other people (game reports 4 participants) and the winning number is 0 and "no participants in this lottery."

That system failed hardcore.

I find this hilarious, but I also wanted to see this fail in the first place, because it was a stupid idea from the start.
No one should be doing lotteries on large and medium houses. They should be exclusive to smalls. Log in and transfer.
