    A better thing to ask for than auto attack for controller use is Ninja Gaiden combat for controller use. Now EVERYONE would love that! (maybe)

We need to make the battles longer and make players work together and combine their abilities to make this game more community based.

    most of what you are talking about has nothing to do with auto attack, and everything to do with the SP as it is now. They have monsters with different mechanics, and different fight abilities right now, but nobody fights them because it is easier and more rewarding to mow down easy enemies. Im fine with that technique, but it shouldnt be the only way to play.

    I remember going into tough dungeons, fighting things where one wrong move could kill you, debilitating enemies so they didnt one shot you, avoiding enemies directional and AoE attacks. THIS WAS IN THIS GAME shocking isnt it. They just made doing 5 relatively easy leves the best exp in the game. the crazy part is we got a lot of SP per hour doing this, i think i had up to like 30k, and i got that in small parties, and in big parties.

    anyhow auto attack does nothing for DoW, i can see why a mage wouldnt want to bother, but hey they re mages. DoW is usually based around choosing the right skills to use at the right time, pugilist doesnt even really have a basic attack. light is defensive, once in awhile to keep up attack, pummel is for tp over dmg, heavy is to lead into flurry, flurry is for fast damage best used with accuracy. I could go through each melee class showing how you can take advantage of your different tp building skills. But oh well that system is gone, lets see what they come up with, i hope its not like ffxi, go to sleep and wait 3-5 minutes for your skills and 30 secs for a weaponskill.

    far as the controller, i agree, hitting directions to get to skills is a bad idea, but thats just a bad idea, hitting directions to get to skills is a bad idea even with auto attack
