"Tis quest not available" despite meetign requirements.

I am currently level 60 and on "Matoya's Cave" in the main scenario.

I went to unlock the Gunbuster quest and it says that I need to have Shadowbringers installed and registered.

I had the starter edition on steam for years but actually started playing a couple months ago. I purchased Endwalker on Steam when I hit level 50 and wanted to get beyond that. Everyhting seemed fine until I tried to do this quest.

I just checked my mogstation account and it shows all the expansions with checkmarks so it should not be me not setting it up right...

You seem to have already unlocked Gunbreaker and even put a level into it.
For clarities sake, what was the original problem that you solved to fix it?

Been a while since I did it, but don't you have to pass a certain part of the story to even pick up gunbreaker? Could be it.

I believe you have to complete certain story content first. I know I was able to play as a Gunbreaker during Stormblood. You might have to complete some of the Heavensward MSQ content first. You might need to have a level 60 Tank or DPS.

At the point in the story I unlocked my Gunbreaker I was mid Stormblood and had a bunch of max level 80s that were two Tanks and two DPS classes.

For story reasons I believe with the Gunbreaker content you need to complete a couple quests because I know the gunbreaker quest line does get into stuff if you did within the MSQ

No. You just need to have Shadowbringers installed and level any job to 60.
