A large number of gear found in dungeons and traded through tome/hunt has very few items that can be desynthed for Carpenters. If you're into leveling up desynthesis but don't want to spend an excessive amount of gil, finding items to level up Carpenters can be a practice of frustration



Bows or lances should be always carpenter items, instead of having blacksmith stealing the spotlight half of the time. Blacksmith already have so many items desynthed for its leveling already.

When you get out of the earlier levels you can have the options in crafting accessories. Specifically, rings for crafters. These are a far cheaper alternative to Blacksmith. The variety in the items doesn't really matter half as much as the level of the items. Furthermore, keep in mind that you can desynth the accessories from dungeons. This is usually split between Goldsmith and Carpenter. Blacksmith has the limelight alongside Armorer in absurdness for desynth... That is in terms of usefulness.

Check furniture for a craftable desynth. Makes it way more work but free if you don't mind the time spent. Recently got ALCH to 580 doing a wall mounted item.

There are so many housing items cheap on the MB that are all CRP desynth that it's profitable to use them for leveling desynth in most cases.

As Kaurzh mentions, I'll usually mass synth the rings since the material cost to make is usually very low. I can then sell off some of the HQ ones over time (don't want to flood the market and devalue them) then desynth the rest.

The only DOH class I find to be a problem when it comes to leveling desynth is ALC to the point I that usually ignore it. There's just not enough need or profit to make it worthwhile especially now that desynth won't fail.
