I saw all the beautiful helmets in the new raid, tried it on and it’s not visible. Also, I’m loving the new 5v5 PVP mode, I also tried on the armour set from it aaaand the headgear doesn’t show either.

I don’t know why I expected any different. Circlets are okay, I try and make-do with what I have, but I would like more of a variety one day.

The feeling I got from the level 89 Reaper hood was so amazing, I adored it so much... it literally got to the point where I kept zooming in on my character during a dungeon run, because I couldn’t believe I was wearing a hat (especially with my ears poking out! It looked great)

Can we please just have more hats?

I feel this every time when I find a cool hat that will match my glam but then I’m reminded I’m playing viera and it’s a limited race.

I completely understand when the devs told us that enabling all previous in game head pieces to Viera would be very difficult. But seriously ignoring this for new head pieces is just downright lazy. The new pvp set looks amazing but Viera and Hrothgar cannot use the headpiece!! Seriously?

This is by design. As far as I am aware, Hrothgar and Viera were chosen *specifically* for being custom and having limitations. I speculate, so they could release the "last" races and not have the same amount of support as the prior races; less work. Meaning, I highly doubt they had any intention on releasing anything after their release state. They just had to pivot when there was a large community outcry for headgear, and male viera. Compromising with minor headgear support (circlets, etc.), and the monetary gain from implementing male viera (short term) - which are apparently very popular in Japan.

This is why hrothgar hair, viera hair, and everything else is/was taking so long. They seem to have already preplanned viera/hrothgar copy paste hairs, but only at the end of ShB - likely when they said they were "looking into" viera hairs. There were no plans prior. I suspect that if they cut the copy paste hairs from hrothgar, we are unlikely to see anything for them until the next expansion. I digress.

When it comes to headpiece (hat) support, don't expect anything. It isn't in the plans, and was never in the plans.

I have and continue to hold the expectation of absolutely no headgear for Viera and Hrothgar.
Any pieces that do get it are a nice surprise but not expected. They told us this as they were developing them.

Viera are finished, to exactly what they intended. This is why I don't like to refer to it as "finishing the race". They did not intend on male viera, or female hrothgar, for that matter. They are/were finished to their specifications. I prefer calling it "fix" or "update". In regards to viera/hrothgar.

What they intended is an unfinished product. I don't want to exercise in semantics here, you understand what I mean and I stand by what I said. You have to be stupid to actually think people won't complain. They knew it would come to this and it did. Stop defending laziness from the devs. Male vieras were one of the strongest selling points this expansion, they probably just rushed it (like everything else in EW) and started to make compromises with players. There can never be an excuse for laziness.

The only reason we even have viera/hrothgar is because they never intended on "FINISHING" them, you get it? I can almost guarantee you if they could turn back time they would have never released either.

Massive threads, constantly mentioning it on social media, bringing it up in tons of Live Letter Q&A threads, threatening to unsub if they didn't get them, the list goes on. People wouldn't shut up about them so SE gave them what they asked for and warned players they weren't going to be implemented to the same standards right away as the other races.
