Random Sound Cut outs

Hey folks.
How many of you experience random complete sound cut outs during Crystalline Conflict?
As far as I know this is has been a known issue for past years and has something to do with FFXIV API but since latest patch it became way, way more frequent for some players.
Any chance anyone also has a solution besides complete client restart?

I have experienced it. It happens in UCOB too. I haven’t found a solution yet. But honestly I’m not actively troubleshooting it lol.

On a related note, I am missing animation and sound on crafting actions. Or I was earlier today.

Muscle memory my character just sits there in the crafting position not doing anything. Manipulation and beyond it's fine.


It still gives me the crafting effect of Muscle memory, I just don't get sound or animation.

This happens randomly on my PS5, though I haven't seen it for some time now. Mostly happens in instances, and it's usually just the music. But it has been an issue for a long while. It usually sorts itself out within a couple of minutes, but it's extremely jarring.

I rely heavily on sound queues to know when my spells go off and sometimes it cuts out just as I cast and throws my rotation out of sync.

Yeah, it seems that only happens in a really sound "busy" zones, like Frontlines, Feats, now Crystalline Conflict and sometimes raids. Don't remember ever getting a complete sound cut out while crafting or something like that.

On PC I don't think that I ever heard of it fixing itself. Only restarting the game. Tried different tricks like unplugging/plugging sound source or disable/enanle audio interface in device manager but none of that helps unforunately.

i've been getting this off and on since endwalker launched though not just with crafting but with everything, its really annoying when it happens in dungeons cause you think you just got disconnected but no the sound/animations just arnt playing after about 2 minutes or so all the sound/animation tends to catch up and all play at once then everything seems to be fine for awhile till it happens again
