    Limits on Pre-made Groups in PvP

    Absolutely love the new game mode, along with the rework to how PvP plays across the board. However, I do despise the fact that PvP in general just limits playing in any pre-made group. Crystal Conflict is the biggest offender at the moment, as it's currently locked to solo que for both casual and ranked. And while not as limiting as CC, Frontlines also suffer from this same issue as you can only que in with a maximum group size of 4, despite alliance groups allowing up to 8 players.

    The general argument I see from players is them echoing the developers opinion that this is a good decision as it helps prevent full stacks of pre-made groups from destroying solo players who aren't coordinating as hard. While while I do think making the game not a landslide defeat against coordinated groups, completely removing the capability to be able to que into any content in a pre-made is not the solution.

    A more simple solution that benefits both sides would be to create a solo que and a group que for both ranked and casual, just like they did with the Feast. The only reason I can think they didn't bring that same system over to CC was because they feared for the population would be too small after the initial hype of PvP died down. So maybe they'll add that back in after they see the positive reception that PvP has at the moment. And as for Frontlines, simply bumping up the number of pre-made players from 4 to 8 will just help much more than before, and you still wouldn't have as much as a landslide victory as having control of the entire team.

    Honestly, I just hope for any change that would allow me to play with my friends, as allowing people to que into PvP as a pre-made just benefits the enjoyment of everyone in the long run. It currently feels terrible to have to not be able to bring friends along to try out the new PvP changes when the game limits us with the que limits currently.

    I think this could be fixed entirely by trying to match up premades against other premades and the rest of the party gets filled up by solo queue people.

    Historically, this alone doesn't do much to mitigate the issues and causes friction in games with vastly larger PvP playerbases than FFXIV (Overwatch, League of Legends). Generally secondary queues are what tend to be introduced for teams, which I assume would be the route for Crystal Conflict if it does well.

    It's more a case of: Solo players would, inevitably, be placed against grouped players and that situation rarely feels good to play in. Granted, the shorter playtime of a CC game might mitigate that feeling somewhat since you aren't putting 30+ minutes into a lost cause. Though, if CC got to the point of having a long term healthy base of players there'd still be the issue of solo players running into groups more often near the higher end of the ranked spectrum, since there's simply less population to pull from.

    You want to go back to 30m queues? Because this is how you go back to 30m queues.

    Premade vs premade also encourages manipulation and win trading.

    Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
    Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
    Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

    I sure hope they quickly add premade queues, although it's probably been done the way it is because even they had no idea if this new pvp would be popular. I'd wager if the mode stays populated they will add them.

    As long as it isnt ranked matches, i honestly dont care.

    Ranked premade vs randoms is pure cancer and will always be a bad thing.

    Inc the queue of people telling you to get good and coordinate your team as well as 5 other people in a dedicated voice comm channel.

    If you use the "bulletin board" in Wolfs Den, where the Ranked Rewards NPC is you can create a premade group that can be used in CC if I understood it correctly.
    I don't know how it works, just that you can from there.

    And from how I read it, the group works lika a Deep Dungeon group, with fixed members.
    I draw that conclusion since the board had details on how to disband a premade.

    That's a leftover from Feast. As of current patch, CC is solo queue only.
