Fun duo combination?

My girlfriend is getting this game and I'm wondering what will be a fun/good combination of classes for the two of us to play.

Conjurer/WHM and Marauder/WAR

What he said. You get caster balanced between offense and defense (when you have Cleric Stance up) and you get a melee balanced between offense and defense. Another suggestion would be a Pugilist instead of Marauder if for whatever reason you or she does not like Marauder, as they should be able to do enough DD to hold hate on single targets and with Evasion equipment have some decent survivability.

I am in complete agreement with the above suggestions.

However, if those don't float your boat, the game allows you to be capable with any duo combination (since you can solo, you can duo). The above suggestions are merely more efficient/effective.
