What is the long range purpose of this game?

Another one of these, Ian? Of course they're planning some advanced end game content like the defense of Ishgard against the dragons and the Crystal Tower, plus pvp (just to name a couple things we've been teased with).

The point of the game is to have fun, but right now we're kind of just waiting for them to get it ready for us. Why even post something like this?

Ok, thanks Kap, that gives me some hope, lol. I was just not feeling any purpose atm, I suppose, I tried scouring 2.0 plans again to get myself motivated and then it appeared like there wouldn't be anything substantial until well after Jan 2013. Thank you for the inspiration ^^

I guess I meant something like CoP or something, like that to graduate through and then have access to another area.
