Feedback: Make Lotto Entry Count Visible on Residential Ward Selection Menus

    Self explanatory.

Just like you can click on a FC/Personal house to get more information about the lot, it would be incredibly nice if you could click on a lot for sale and get more information about the plot itself. This can include current number of entries, time the lotto period expires, etc. This would help players determine from the ward menu if they would want to put the effort into submitting an entry as opposed to physically having to phase into the ward, walk over to the plot, and then find out that 600000 people have also entered in on the same plot.

I am of the opinion, it's moot.

Major housing releases are rare. In a few weeks it will be a single house in wards 1-18 and zero in 19 to 24.

Not hard to check at all then.

It does show the number of people who've bid on the house. It's near the bottom...Participants, I think?

Yes, but only if you view it from the placard. I'm talking about being able to preview it from the ward menu. (So like being able to view how many people have entered on Empy 1-43 while standing at the Ishgard main aetheryte)

Sorry, it seems my brain only retained the first half of your post, my mistake. That would definitely be a cool option to have.

I could see it causing people keeping watch to crash out of the game as the menu tries to keep up in the last few hours of sniping and monitoring. I pity the people trying to access the main aetheryte at that time!

If a player wants to increase their chances, let them do the legwork to gain that tiny advantage. In most cases, the advantage of checking multiple wards is a tiny difference. For example, large with the least number of bids on my server right now has 10 bids. While the most has 14 bids. That's a 10% chance vs a 7% chance. Sure, 10% is better, but the most likely outcome on bidding on a house with 10 bids and 7 bids is still winning neither. And it will only get worse. I wouldn't be surprised at all if many of these larges got to 30+ bids. At that point, if a player does the legwork to find that plot with 28 bids vs the others with 30 bids, that's a 3.7% chance vs a 3.3% chance.

    What is the point?

I don't see why this change can't be implemented though?

It would be such a quality of life change for players to able to see the number of bids per plot from the ward selection screen instead of having to individually going to each placard to click on it.

It would also make the system fairer since the number of bids per plot would even out since one can go for the plot with the lowest bids whereas now, if you don't have the time to sweep through all the wards, you are not going to get the full picture of the bid spread.
