Trusts, Duty Support, and Small Groups

So, I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this feedback but I could not find another thread of a similar vein.

The new Duty Support system is fantastic. Being able to go through the MSQ solo is a great touch for accessibility and making this Final Fantasy more akin to a traditional one with the ability to go through it at one's own pace.

However... I would love to see the Duty Support/Trust system expanded to empower people who play as Duo/Trio to be able to experience the game together without having to rely on a random fourth. I understand that there has to be some degree of balancing so that people will still coordinate with strangers to get through some of the not-story related content (Extremes, Savages, etc.) but I think that giving us more reasons to level up a trust member would be fantastic.

Currently I have no need or interest in grinding the same single dungeon over and over with a full NPC party when I could be playing with my family/friends. If I could instead have one or two trust NPCs I've leveled who can fill up the flex spots needed in a party to be able to do things at my group's pace that'd be fantastic.

A good case in point would be the new dungeon with 6.1 We went in as a trio and really wanted to be able to take our time and enjoy the ambience of the dungeon. It's really pretty! But being as this expansion none of us leveled a tank we end up going at the tanks' pace or deal with pouty players; something that isn't fair to us or to the random fourth.

I'm sure I'm probably missing potential pitfalls of allowing people to do this but would love to hear others' opinions.

What do you all think of trusts/duty support being expanded to allow partial groups to use the features?

I'll tell you what Yoshida thinks.

"Trust AI has to be adjusted on per-instance basis and gets significantly more complicated when multiple players are present. As of now we have no plans on adding such feature".

That's unfortunate, but also a total cop-out answer if that's the case. But to be fair I'm kind of used to that. PS3 limitations and all.

Sort of a copout answer, but technically if you have two players you could probably do all the dungeons in the game as long as one of you is a tank and you pace yourself properly. Undersized Party + Level Sync options in duty finder. The non-tank might struggle a bit on some bosses for a while starting at level 51 depending on the job of your partner, thanks to unavoidable damage (A paladin could help with that starting at level 58, a dark knight from 70, a warrior from 76, or a gunbreaker from 82), most particularly if you're playing a physical ranged DPS or caster due to the lack of self-healing options.
