    Aglaia Alliance raid loot question

Honest question because I genuinely don't know.

But, it seems like the loot restrictions are a bit stingy. You can only roll on and receive 1 piece of gear. Regardless of rolling need or greed.
I've never encountered that before, is that because it was just released and the majority of the raid content I've done was after it was current?

I understand needing to make sure everyone gets gear and can progress. I'm actually pretty happy with that, but... if I greed roll something for an alt job, and win. And then something immediately drops for my main job that's a huge upgrade, but I can't even roll for it because of the greed roll, it's definitely a feels bad moment. If I greed roll something, anyone using greed can beat me, or anyone using need gets priority already.

So only being able to potentially loot 1 equipment piece feels pretty punishing. It's saying "forget about an alt, only roll for your main, even though anybody can out roll you on greed or need"

Is that just because it's the first few days of its release? If so that makes sense in regards to trying to distribute loot to people, even though if people needed it more than me they could roll need and get priority over my greed roll either way soo..

    Just curious is all.
    Thanks everyone!

When they are current content, you are restricted to one piece of gear per week. A few months down the road they remove that restriction. But yeah, every Alliance raid has started this way.

most ppl do it the opposite i think

roll for alt since main will use the coin to get upgraded tome gear
    or roll strictly for glamour

its a catch up mechanic and a way to keep people doing the raid.

Almost all of the newest content has a once-per-week system. This includes alliance, savage and normal raid loot and tomestones. It gets removed after a few months up to 8 months depending on what it is.

This is for gear progression so that you keep doing the content over several weeks. It means that people doing the content for the first time after a few weeks still have someone to play with to help them clear. The people doing it for their weekly clear probably know the mechanics better and can help carry them through.

Once the content is old, people struggle to get queues for it and everyone forgets the mechanics, so sometimes they have to get nerfed or the echo gets applied.

In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."

Just kind of annoying when you've done alliance roulette for awhile and not been bothered to look at loot at all on old content then do the new one and forget to look at loot and have it auto drop something you didnt want into your inventory locking you out for the week...

How important is loot though if you're not even looking at the loot window and it's only autodropping to you because you're the only one who didn't Pass on it?

Eh, the gear really is just for glamour anyway. There are already two other easy sources of gear at the same ilvl, and the upgrade coins you get from the raid outclass all three.

Just a catch-up method. Though I'd rather recommend to get the crafted gear (or whatever is cheapest for most Hannish Certificates) and upgrade that with the non-weekly tomestones.
I'm doing the raid just for upgrade-coin, glam, orchestrion-rolls, and minion.

    - 1 piece of gear/week
    - 1 token to upgrade stuff 590/week
    - Loot the minion once
    - As many times as you want the triple triad and orchestrion roll cards

Loot restriction at the next big patch, here 6.2 when the next Eden raid is released. Pretty much the same for the token, when 600 is no longer the max iLvL for players who do not do savage or Ex.

There is an advantage when the loot is limited to the week for the gear, you have more chance to loot it, since people will target the piece of armor that interests him.
Without the limit, everyone would do a need by default. Just look at the orchestrions roll loot, unless you do a 99 very little chance of getting it.
