I'm hardly a high-end player or anything, but I'd really like to know what the rationale was behind "smoothing out" SAM's damage output. Even with guaranteed crits, the biggest single hits in the rotation no longer feel like I'm an anime protagonist unleashing his super attack that's been charging for the past two episodes.

I want Kaiten back too, but on paper I thought I hated losing Kaiten just because of the "rhythm" it added to the flow of the job's rotation. In practice I not only hate it for this reason, but also because I feel substantially weaker without it. I don't even know if my overall DPS has actually taken that much of a hit, I just know I don't like how small the numbers feel when I'm unleashing my biggest attacks. Namely, Midare and Namikiri.
