I have an instant portrait linked to my first Gearset, Monk. This gearset also has a glamour plate attached.

When I switch to this gearset from another set, I get the error in the portrait menu saying "Gear depicted in instant portrait inconsistent with current gear configuration" which means the portrait won't show up in Crystal Conflict.

I use the context menu to select "Use as Instant Portrait" to save the portrait for the current gear configuration.

And this makes the error go away and lets the portrait show up in Crystal Conflict again.

But when I switch to another gearset that does NOT have an instant portrait set

And then switch back to the gearset with the portrait linked

The error comes back, even though nothing about the gearset has changed, not even the helmet or visor toggle.

This occurs even if I change to a gearset for the same job.
It also occurs even if neither gearset has an associated glamour plate, i.e. you are just directly exchanging gear pieces on the same job.

The error does NOT occur if I simply remove a piece of gear and then put it back on. Taking a single piece of gear off makes the portrait error appear, but putting it back on makes it go away.

The error does NOT occur if I switch to a gearset which has a DIFFERENT portrait linked, and then switch back.

If I switch to a gearset which has the SAME portrait linked, then the error appears when I switch to the second set. However this time, when I switch back to the first set, the error does not occur.

If I switch to a different gearset, apply an instant portrait (without linking it to the gearset) and then switch back to the gearset with the linked portrait, then the error does NOT occur, EVEN if the portrait I set is the same as the portrait for the gearset with the link.
