Instant Portraits failing to apply when linked to a gearset

I have an instant portrait linked to my first Gearset, Monk. This gearset also has a glamour plate attached.

When I switch to this gearset from another set, I get the error in the portrait menu saying "Gear depicted in instant portrait inconsistent with current gear configuration" which means the portrait won't show up in Crystal Conflict.

I use the context menu to select "Use as Instant Portrait" to save the portrait for the current gear configuration.

And this makes the error go away and lets the portrait show up in Crystal Conflict again.

But when I switch to another gearset that does NOT have an instant portrait set

And then switch back to the gearset with the portrait linked

The error comes back, even though nothing about the gearset has changed, not even the helmet or visor toggle.

This occurs even if I change to a gearset for the same job.
It also occurs even if neither gearset has an associated glamour plate, i.e. you are just directly exchanging gear pieces on the same job.

The error does NOT occur if I simply remove a piece of gear and then put it back on. Taking a single piece of gear off makes the portrait error appear, but putting it back on makes it go away.

The error does NOT occur if I switch to a gearset which has a DIFFERENT portrait linked, and then switch back.

If I switch to a gearset which has the SAME portrait linked, then the error appears when I switch to the second set. However this time, when I switch back to the first set, the error does not occur.

If I switch to a different gearset, apply an instant portrait (without linking it to the gearset) and then switch back to the gearset with the linked portrait, then the error does NOT occur, EVEN if the portrait I set is the same as the portrait for the gearset with the link.

With further testing, it turned out this was only happening when I switched from specific gearsets. When I switched from Warrior the error occurred, but on most other jobs it was fine.

I was able to discover that the problem occurs when the status of the gearset's /showhelm and /visor is different to the gearset with the linked portrait.

For example if the gearset with the linked portrait has the helmet showing, and you switch to it from a gearset with the helmet hidden, the "inconsistent gear configuration" error occurs. Similarly if you are on a gearset with the /visor option ON and you switch to a gearset with a linked portrait that has the /visor option OFF, the error occurs. Even if the helmets on both sets are hidden, or have no visor option, the error will occur if the visor option is different between the two sets.

The weapon hide/show option has no effect, you can switch to and from a set with different settings and the error will not occur.

So I can only reason there is some bug with how the game handles setting the portrait when switching from a gearset where the helmet and visor options are different.

It seems that any change of equipment breaks the link that is applied to the gearset.
What I've also found out is that if you link a portrait to a gearset through the portrait menu, the link will always break by just switching gearsets.

Linking the portrait directly from the character gearset menu at least prevents it from breaking by just switching gearsets so it's something but it's still very frustrating so far (but it's still beta so it is to be expected)

    Edit:
Figured that any ever so slight changes to the set that will cause the save/update gearset will unlink the portrait entirely. So it might be when you have different glamour plates sets on the same role that fast switching of jobs could cause the issue as well. Maybe it could be because of the random ring arrangement but I need to test that further
