    I would like to encourage everyone to keep providing the feedback YoshiP asked for.

    If you dislike the changes, you should provide your feedback on the forums. Don't tell yourself that it won't matter, that's a self-fulfilling prophecy.

    SE's tactic has always been to ask players to understand, or try the changes out, then stay quiet until people move on or accept. Then we get stuck with the game slowly becoming worse and worse. Samurai wasn't the first or the last time this will happen. Please consider providing the feedback YoshiP asked for.

    Of course, other jobs are also welcome to speak up. This is the best time. Saying nothing is the equivalent of silent acceptance.
    Edit: I've invited other jobs to share their own feedback because I thought it will help them get seen while the feedback was invited by YoshiP and there are many starting to post for the first time. It was with good intentions. Not to come here and show utter pessimism.

    I would also like to use this space to show what the JP side has to say about the changes for Samurai, so I will add it here:
    - The cast bar no longer has a purpose, the justification is gone
    - The large majority wish to go back to 6.08
    - There are talks asking what place Samurai has in a party. Additionally, there are talks of excluding/benching them.
    - Tenka Goken change is unanimously disliked. It is even memed on there, talking about the skill "coming out the rear". The power of the skill is also worthless
    - Kaiten removal has left many feeling like something is missing
    - The strength of Iaijutsu is a joke and many feel the identity of the Samurai is gone
    - Shinten/Kyuten spam is loathed. Many recall their experiences in Stormblood
    - Direct comparisons stating that the change is the equivalent to never performing a critical hit on your finishers now. Hyosho Ranryu has been used as an example showing how much of a difference this change has caused
    - There are some talks of Direct Hit guarantees, but they have been shot down
    - Many are taken by surprise by the potency nerfs
    - Many speculate it was for newer players
    - There are many posting for the first time because they don't want to be viewed as accepting these changes
    - The change is only to make balancing easier, so the change is for the developers. None of the changes were meant for the Samurai players.
    - Suggestions to change the gauge as it is now pointless to have
    - Very positive feedback on PVP Samurai only.
    - Many ask for an explanation and to define what "Pure DPS" means at this point.
    - Some talk of Seigan and Merciful Eyes.
    - Don't touch what isn't broken. It's better to do nothing if you don't understand.
    - Talks of quitting, not logging in anymore, tears. Few posts talking of how emotional they were and how some had to hold off posting due to it.
    - Some people that were previously somewhat accepting of the change have changed their mind after reading the overwhelming amount of feedback, and think its for the best to revert them.
    - Some posts saying that the consistent DPS is beneficial technically, but is unrewarding by removing the job's current identity without giving anything back. In other words, boring.
    - Does the developer even play Samurai?
    - Break your sword in half and play lol
    - DRK opener does more within the 20s opener, so we should give the cards to DRK from now on
    - You have to hit a striking dummy for 6-7 minutes to get back to where you were in 6.08
    - Very negative impressions after the patch note reading
    - More posts saying that in Instanced Dungeons, they feel worthless and powerless due to the AOE change.
    - Consistent DPS means your uptime is more important now compared to before. Therefore it is a detriment for newer players. Who is this for?
    - The math has been done and while NA has been downplaying the impact severely (emphasizing the average), JP views it differently (emphasizing the 90-100) and it is considered an objective nerf
    - YoshiP has stated this is for the future. People question why now and not to make this change at that time. This is in reference to his statement of critical hits (the system itself) becoming a problem, yet only one job was changed for it.
    - Allusions to job favoritism

    At this point I'm just about certain they will revert the Sam changes come 6.11. I want them to revert Ninja too, but that seems to be an uphill battle, since from looking at rough google translations on jp forums, people are 50/50 on the change. I have a feeling that shifting into the 120 meta is a hill the balance team is willing to die on.

    So what are you going to do? Give up? While there are more and more players speaking up for the first time, this is your best chance to give feedback that will reach them. I understand the healer gripes, I play them for fun as my side job. I disliked the fact that tanks and healers were left in serious states of disrepair throughout several expansions. I used to be one of those people that accepted it, talking in Discord with my static and friends in a joking manner that eventually everything is going to be taken from us. Consider trying to appeal once more.

    All valid point, to be honest i'm sure kaiten was annoying to figure out for balancing especially with the auto crit change, but it felt like the lazy way out and just ruin the job for us so fuck that.

    I also feel like the Nin Trick change was also a bit for the same reason too, sure it's easier to not drift now that it's not linked to the ninjustsu but at the same time you can bet not having to worry about a job buffing twice as much as everyones else make it easier to balance, if it wasn't for that Mug would be a 1 minute cooldown too.
    I ain't saying they shouldn't look for easier way to balance the game at all, but if it come at the price of job identity and feel well maybe don't take that road.

    The thing is, it’s only all gaining traction now because it’s dps jobs being affected. No one cared when it was just healers and constantly criticized healer mains for complaining. Now that it’s affecting dps jobs everyone is up in arms. I’m sure the samurai change will get fixed, and then everyone will keep silent on healer problems yet again.

    Not every DPS is the same. MCH problems still getting ignored after 4-5 years. Damage is too low, ping problems unfixed.

    Despite our cultural differences, we are united in our study of the blade.

    edit: also, I love that the JP community is memeing Tenka as being literally a wet fart since that's about as strong as it feels now. Perfection.

    The devs do listen and I’m pretty sure they did with a idea or it’s just a coincidence. The devs are doing a great job on the game and made it a fun theme park experience. I hope they continue to grow it. When they do a good job they rarely hear it on the forums. A personal lesson I learned is to not just complain but provide feedback back to how you’d like to happen to a problem. If doesn’t matter if your idea has no likes or gets down voted. The devs might like the idea and use it.

    For me personally I would like to see a revamp on our story actions. I wish our loyalty dictated our action like in with DC Universe Online. Where our we choose a faction that has more of a force full approach to get the job done. The game play and combat has gone down and getting stale because it wasn’t good in the beginning. The mashing of button endlessly on a fate when soloing shouldn’t be that hard. In DCUO when you have to kill 10 things they ideally die in 3 or 4 hits.

    Small quest dungeons are located throughout the map in DCUO and adds fun and mystery to maps. Yes it’s instanced but it adds flavor when a quest leads you to a instanced dungeon from a building door or basement.

    Map exploration and collectibles are fun in Lost Ark. this makes exploration fun. Please add more secret collectibles through the game world..
