Memo: Cost of G6 Attribute Tinctures
To: If you swing a sword...

Subject: Inflationary pressure on pricing... uh huh
Because of the high (hopefully short term) product demand caused by the new Pact gear (recipes), the pressure on Moonlight Aethersand (MA) supply has dramatically increased. Based on years of watching these things, I expect this pressure to continue for several weeks (if Square makes no adjustment of the Moonlight Aethersand sourcing mechanism).
Factors:
1> MA is a prime ingredient in the final combines of Grade 6 attribute tinctures. That I'm aware of, said tinctures sit at the top of the MB consumption tree.. a LOT of those products change hands daily. Typically, prices hover around 1100 to 1300 Gil the jug, spiced by excursions into the silly caused by instantaneous price wars and/or shortages.
2> The combine that yields one Pact ingredient "Eblan Danburite" consumes one MA.. and it takes 3 of these Danburites to produce any Pact tool.
3> The combine that yields one Pact ingredient "Hannish Fiber" consumes one MA, and it takes 3 or 4 of these Fibers to produce any left side Pact gear item.
4> MA is not obtained by standard retainer sourcing or direct vendor retail sales, rather it must be obtained by the somewhat laborious process of first acquiring and then redeeming massive quantities of Purple Gatherer's Scrips.. at 100 such scrips/the single MA. So.. if you see a stack of 99 MA for sale MB... someone gathered who knows what for however long to accumulate 9900 Purple Gatherer's scrips to trade for that stack. That kind of process is mind-numbing, and I find it easy to empathize with those who do that to earn Gil.. there but for the grace of God... yeah.
Upshot: Yeah, MA inflation is here. It will be here for a while. Fortunately, Pact gear consumption will tail off markedly, and unless there is some kind of Pact accessorization forthcoming ala 6.2x, should decline markedly after a few weeks, I hope. But for now, check your budgets.. your G6 Strength Tincture may cost more, a lot more.
