    Fast way to level?

I keep giving this game chances.. This is the 3rd chance I'm giving the game after launch. I read people writing in posts of leveling from 1-50 in 7 days with only a few hours of play each day. Is that possible? if so how? I want to at least reach lvl 50 to give end game a shot, but what is killing me about this game is the grind..I can't take it, It feels like ill never reach anything... Was going to lvl MNK for the looks but looks like I'm a have to do Warrior cause I don't see myself doing that 1-50 run ever again, since War has high priority. I lvled DRK in FFXI as 1st job and don't want to go through that experience again..

Even playing casually will get you a class from 1-50 in less than a month. Take the time to enjoy the game and learn your class. Don't go for broke.

Welcome back again. When you get close to level 30 start looking for experience parties. That will get you to 50 in under a week. Other than that leves and grinding my friend. Good income of gil and exp. Try to find some people to do behests too. That will cut down the grind.

You can Plvl for fast exp from 1-40, then do 40-50 in a beastman stronghold exp party. I wouldn't recommend doing it for your first class, leveling your first class isn't too bad, but after that its kinda pointless, the classes are pretty easy to play after you learn the basics.

As long as it seems like torture to you, you will hate every bit of it, regardless of how long it takes. Break the monotony along the way by postponing the grind to do class quests, grand company quests, and main story missions, and maybe it won't be so bad. As it was said before, take the time to learn your class. Using your leve allowances will give you plenty of opportunity to study how your class works and build your style of play. Think of the grind, not as an obstacle serving only to hold you back, but as a training regimen. You will be better equipped to handle the level 50 content if you do.

I was leveling my CNJ not too long ago and I was getting a level about every 5-6 leves, starting at level 27. Most of the time I complete the leve within 6-7 minutes, never going over 10. The time consuming part is going back to town and getting more leves, but if you set a secondary home point at an inn, and your main at the camp you're leveling at, traveling is trivial.

If you don't have anyone to PL you (or don't want to do that) just set yourself up as looking for a party in the new search tool. Parties are the fastest method of leveling. You can do leves while you LFG. Even if you only do leves, if you're playing 2-3 hours a night, I'd think you could get something to 50 within a couple weeks.

Get a friend or some mercenary to power level to 40 like said before.

Don't worry about the skills until you start doing partys, the learning curve on this game is like one hour of reading the skills you have and testing it... not like other games like XI that you could have like 100 skills or magics.

Anyway, if you find lvling boring you ill find terrible the end game, right now is all about repeating the same content like 100 times just to get what you want... Really don't worth the time imo. The frustation you will get of as example doing like 50 runs of ifrit on a week and get a few totems at least and nothing more is kinda a overkill to me.

If i where you ill wait to 2.0 to join. The only thing you will miss is the seven era quests that are just silly quest that don't really matter...

BTW, i stop playing like in mid April and start playing TERA online. Having a FFXIV standards looking now on tera is like comparing FF Mystic Quest to a later one.

INB4 flame on me, i really like this game, the battle system and the fights, but i don't like how is implemented right now. I feel like im wasting my time for nothing, all most all primals drops are worthless except the ifrit ones and the darklight equipments are really time consuming to get them, and even if you have a full set you will still be able to do the same as you did with your basic equipment. There is not much endgame content in fact, is just a tedious lurking for worthless equip...

If we have some kind of pvp or massive NM that need the best equip to be able to think of defeating it then it will have some kind of sense going throw all that work for the equip.

This game is very easy to level up in. What the hell do you want? Level 50 in 2 days with minimal effort?

Look. I'm sure there's plenty of RMT more than willing to take your money and powerlevel you to whatever level you, and your wallet, would like. Welcome to MMORPGs.

To OP: If you can find a party, it doesn't always have to be a full party, mayhaps of 6+ people. Put yourself up on the Party Search feature as Looking For Party (top left corner) with your desired job. Maybe toss a few shouts here and there in Ul'dah to let people know you're looking.

I suppose my concern is that if there's nothing that interests you that doesn't feel like "oh gawd why am I logging into this game" before level 50, it may be best to find another activity. One that will have you going "shyt yeah! I can't wait!" at the loading screen, instead of investing a week or two leveling up to experience level 50 loot speed runs, sexy spiritbond parties, hamleteering, seal grinding, and other fun stuff!
