Making tomestone gear tradable and sellable will go against the philosophy of them being things you buy for yourself and not to trade with other players. In the grand scheme of things, getting them from retainers is a way to gear them up and get glamours you wouldn't otherwise get for a long time.
I can both sell to a vendor and turn in for seals poetics gear so I see no reason they can't do it with moonward gear.

I feel screwed out of seals when my retainers bring me this garbage.
