    The game is too fast paced to discuss things during the match.
    It feels so awkward to just stare at people for 30s before a match while completely forced into silence. There's only so much a "Hello" can do. I usually just end up throwing random emotes in there and I dunno, it feels kind of weird.

    (Totally agree that we need a more individual contribution system for ranking instead of just losing the stars as quickly as you get them.)

    Yes, agree. At least allow people to talk about a strat would be good.

    I already have to deal with afk memes. Having people dying left and right
    while they discuss issues (or animes) wont be an help either.

    I think the biggest issue why Ranked sucks in CC and can be such a frustrating experience is because there's no "draft phase" and what I mean by that is.
    There's no role restrictions and matchmaking is just pooling 10 people of whatever class together (which means you can have 4 DPS, 1 Tank or 3 Tanks and 2 DPS ect, all sorts of wild stuff), however, I think if for thirty seconds everyone could pick what class they were going to commit to for the game, as well as seeing the opposing team's picks it would lead to healthier games and teamplay.

    Almost every team-based ranked mode in other games allows a phase to draft, I think it'd also help fix CC's biggest issues of wildly varying compositions but the only issue here is how FFXIV works, they'd likely have to re-code parts of the game to allow this functionality to be much greater in-depth or do some half-baked method of drafting in CC.

    I think the easiest fix for the dev team would be to allow people to freely change classes during the pre-game setup, we already have to wait thirty seconds until the game starts when everyone loads in, so why not allow that time to let people change between gearsets to select different classes? Like sure people might counter-pick, but isn't that apart of PvP skill; that being the knowledge aspect to pick something stronger against what you'll go against to give your team the advantage potentially. Of course then it'd come down to which side could execute fights better with their arranged compositions.

    Obviously with the current systems in place, when people can queue as teams (when it comes available) there'll be no issues since everyone will arrange their composition before queueing as appropriate but for solo play this is not possible, since anyone can be paired with everyone at the mercy of matchmaking.

    Yes and it will always be the same players winning. So why bother playing for a rigged system. I don’t like PVP in this game because it’s just a rigged system.

    I don’t participate in card or minion tournaments because it’s all a win trading. Even the reward for PVP isn’t worth it because it’s not a fun event.

    So people dont change to something like a full SAM team.

    Which they'll probably do if they do change it, since if there was more than 1 SAM per team at the moment, the game would be unplayable.

    I really want them to weigh personal contribution in some way. It really does suck to lose a game where you went 9/0 and spent the whole time on crystal, tactfully retreating, etc only to lose because the rest of my team runs in without the rest of the team.

    I've been bouncing around in Gold 3 for a good 8 hours now because of the way the star system works. An endless loop of win/lose/win/lose/win/lose.

    after 2 days of doing this the impressions thus far is that matchmaking is bad, classes are unbalanced, stun spam is too prevalaent, and solo que is bad

    I think what bothers me the most is that the game mode is actually really fun. Like, if it was a total lost cause I'd get my Archfiend set and leave without a word, but you can see that they definitely HAVE something positive here that I want to see realised, and am frustrated that it will need more time to do so.
