    Housing lottery registration issue (maybe)

Let me preface this by saying this is somewhat of a 'my bad' (or entirely - whatever).

I logged in early today (yesterday) in order to check out the Ishgard housing - I've been eager for this for a long time. I quickly found a cottage I liked and handed over my gil in order to secure my place in the lottery. However, I then learned that some wards were FC only. Oh crap, which ward was I in? I checked and I was in an FC only housing ward. Oops. Welp I tried getting another entry somewhere in one of the personal wards and you're only able to have one entry per period. Ok - let's see if I can cancel my entry so that I can register where I want/need. I head to the plot where I registered and - nope, sorry. Have to wait until the lottery period is over and I get the privilege of losing 50% of the gil I put down if I happen to 'win' (I do not want to move my FC house).

TL;DR: Meant to register personal house and registered FC house for lottery. Unable to withdraw from lottery. Please change it so that folks are unable to withdraw from the housing lottery (heck maybe they need their gil for something!).

Part of the purchase process is this dialog you need to specifically agree to and confirm (this is for personal, but it's the same for FC)

If it is any consolation, I am sure you are only the first of many who are going to do this and I'm sure some people will also do the reverse and buy a personal with gil meant for a FC house (and being a cynic I'm also sure that some of those,'Whoops I placed a bid on a personal house by accident!' instances will be anything but accidental).

Maybe it would be an option to add a withdraw function with a limited time frame to correct errors like this? Of course it would be better if people would read what they agree on, but mistakes happen, bugs happen, nobody is perfect. And with a time restriction you could also prevent heavy abuse. Having one person who made a mistake wait for everything to run out and letting the lottery fail because they really don't want to move their FC/personal house makes selling a plot also unnecessary long.

    My suggestion:
    1) You can withdraw without penalties within 24 hours when there are 3 or more days left.
(in case a person does this before bed and then notices their mistake the next morning, or after work or...)
    2) You can withdraw without penalties within 12 hours when there are 2 days left.
3a) You can only withdraw with a heavy penalty for 3 hours when the lottery is about to end in 24 hours or less (but still less than if you would just stay in and let the plot expire).
    OR
3b) You cannot withdraw when the lottery is about to end in 24 hours or less.

The "x days left" refers to the time when the ticket was bought.
I am not sure if 3a or 3b would be better, because as far as I understand the process there is nothing to be gained by going through the whole lottery process without successfully ending it (unless the plot would then go to the next in line or something, might have missed this.) But as Solarra says, it is safe to assume that people would abuse the hell out of this is, if they could withdraw freely.
