Uninstalling seems like an extreme response to this, but I agree with the general sentiment. I'm certainly not playing the new pvp if I can't even at least bring a single friend with me.

It's such a bizarre decision on the part of the development team. Are they unaware that a not insignificant amount of players operate as a duo and queue up for a lot of content together...?
I'm really getting tired of this game's alienation of players who actually want to interact with something other than a mirror or fictional comfort characters.
Welp I was looking forward to forming a pvp static and pushing "rating". This actually takes all the desire to try the new pvp out. Hopefully one day ff14 will have decent pvp. Can't Que with friends is actually HORRID/ 1/10 devs

or maybe i just want to play the new pvp mode in a playlist where i can dick around with friends and do dumb stuff without caring about win/loss or performance. you know, fun.Winning on Casual grants a bigger payout in XP for your PvP and Series Rank (700 vs 900 XP). So it matters if you put in some effort of doing your best in it.
This won't go well when you have to fight premades that run certain setups and become unkillable. And there are certain setups that really are difficult
So it's best to have the premades fight exclusively their own. Nothing wrong to get put on equal sized teams, right?
Or maybe that was not your intention in first place, and instead just wanting to slap non-premades around and having a good time with your friends at the expense of the others, who might have been unlucky to be matched against your group, for quick XP and looking good on the scorecards to flex on it.
Because, lets face it, quite some people get their fuzzy feelings by owning people in PvP.
prolly a better idea honestly since its better for duos/triples as wellAgreed generally, but you don't want to push out solo casual queuers since every time they queue they're just steamrolled. Then people who don't realize it's because they're playing against premades will think that is a "normal" experience in PvP and just not play.
I think that:
Casual - Solo
Casual - Premade (1-5 players)
Ranked - Solo
would be good enough. Casual premade would allow solo players and smaller groups to fill in parties <5 players. That lets people play together while maintaining the "integrity" of the ranked and solo casual groups.
Problem with separating it that was is that solos would never queue in the casual - premade queue(why would they?), which would mean 4-man groups might as well not exist, and duos would only be able to group with trios, which creates weird bottlenecks based off of size of groups people play in.
Better to just do casual - any size and ranked - solo only
casual premades still generally want to win lol. it's all fun and games until you go against a "casual" 5man who will consistently stomp, then people will complain about premades and we'll be back to where we are now. :P
if mobas taught me anything, people want easy wins so going hard in casual mode = easy. I like Leon's idea of categorizing it into different ques, but that means solo que dies most likely lol
I'm ok with group queue as long as the queue is separate from non party queue.
Ranked is garbage atm. I understand that the mode is new, and that's fine, but if you don't understand the mode then go play the casual mode. That's why it's there. All the rewards are still available in casual (except the 3 rank specific rewards, which if you are throwing ranked you are not getting anyways). I'm probably in the minority here, but they need to remove all the one shot bs from skills as well. Samurai are running around one shotting entire teams and Machinist occasionally gets a free kill. It's bad game design. Make Zanketsuken similar to Ninja where it only one shots at half health so there is at least some sort of way to deal with it. Not... oh, let me just run up here and yeetus deletus the whole enemy group if they are grouped up because they are trying to push/block the crystal.
Still having a ton of fun with Crystal Conflict and I'm addicted to it. It just needs some fixing in certain spots.
Far as I understand it's random who the game puts you with rn. And most matches are one sided asf. It's rare to get struggle matches. If I'm getting players of my skill as you claim the others should not be pushover or overwhelming on the other team.
Sounds like the OP needs new friends.
