No group queue in Crystalline Conflict made all my friends uninstall :(

I was incredibly excited for both the pvp changes, as well as Crystalline Conflict, and have been having so much fun in the mode, that I inspired many friends to return to the game to try it. All of our excitement instantly deflated upon logging in and realizing that there is no option to play Crystalline Conflict with friends outside of a custom match with exactly 10 people, which offers no rewards.
The excuse of premade groups stomping solo queues is a non-argument, as countless competitive games have matchmaking systems that alleviate this, such as having a solo-only queue, or by only matching groups with other groups. I find it ridiculous that a team-based game mode in an mmo has no options to play with friends. The wheel does not need to be reinvented. Simply look to other incredibly popular games like League to see that these issues have been solved for years.

You have to understand, muh solo players in multiplayer game. Past MMO i played, i remember them removing group queues which killed the pvp mode

It's as I said in another thread, the complaints about premades years ago killed them. It's bad enough that shit is lopsided at times due to rng, I can't guarantee that my team has a healer and that has cost me many loses to teams them have at least 1.
Love the mode but man...

I was shocked at the amount of people who celebrated the exclusion of group queue when I was chatting in game! Having the option of playing with friends is not mutually exclusive with enjoyable solo play T_T It really is baffling to me.

Like I said in original post, there are proven solutions to these problems.

Agree, not being able to group queue into the new mode kills all the motivation since you can't do it with friends. Not to mention all the good skills in PVP are gone. WHM has no cure, WTF? I am not a PVP expert, but I played a little with friends before the change as GNB. I liked having Lightning shot to use so that I could attack at range when needed. Also no low blow or retaliation just doesn't make PVP as satisfying. I will give the new actions two compliments. Using a self heal is really nice when you need it and having individual LB's was really a good addition. Please SE, let's add a few tweaks to PVP to make things even better and satisfying for all players that want to do PVP.

Interesting enough, this was the same excuse people used when they removed the ability to go into FL with an 8 man premade. There was a specific group in a discord that would organize 3 groups of 8 for FL queues and all queue as adders to get grouped together (because adders was the less popular GC). They would just stomp FL for hours and people quit the mode and just didn't play whenever the premade was on. There were complaints and asks for changes. Then when SE forced freelancer and limited premade parties to 4 they came ind rives to complain about "not being able to queue with all their friends" and about how "this is going to kill FL" and how it was ruined now. All the same arguments for CC are being made again now.



So if you are sad the premades are unavailable, blame them for ruining it because they abused it.

That issue is the fault of the developers, not the players. Square Enix didn't implement abuse prevention, so people abused it. Like I said, there are countless ways to alleviate that issue, and they took the laziest route possible by deciding to not deal with it.

Yeah...I think those are folks from different camps though. Not the same complaining about both

I mean, they did put in abuse protection, by lowering premades and forcing freelancer, so....


And I never said they were the same people. I said to blame them for SE's stance on premades in PVP.
