I think he appeared exactly like Artbert called by Hydaelyn at the beginning of ShB.

For me, he is the Azem of the 13th reflection.

He who lives will see.

Zenos intentionally making a contract with WoL's shard would absolutely be in character for him, so I agree that's probably what he is.

I won't be surprised if this Voidsent ends up being the 13th Shard of Azem. Considering they need a plot reason for WoL to get stronger in Season 2 storyline or atleast next expansion story, WoL having regain his/her 13th shard self will be one possible way for the WoL's power up moment.

And somehow zenos’ obsession with us got creepier. XD And this means he almost used one of our own soul shards to kill our friends. If accurate, of course.

I don't think so. The whole presentation with Golbez seems a lot more than just a side quest series typical of past trial questlines. There are good odds that this may be the lead up to 7.0 as the new overall threat. With the Paragons/Ascians gone (or greatly weakened due to all the Unsundered being defeated), there's no one to stop the Void from invading other shards since no one but them can travel from shard to shard. This would tie into Y'shtola's attempts at trying to figure out how to travel to other shards. But we'll see.

I dunno. I'm sure Golbez will be in the MSQ after that setup but I don't think he'll be our main villain for season 2. FFXIV has had cameo antagonists before like Xande and Gabranth, but they've never been the main, big bad guy. I think Square would want the big bad to be 14-original like the Ascians.

The Fiends I feel absolutely are going to be the trials. I suppose it'll be more tied to MSQ than previous trials, like the Eden raids were in Shadowbringers.

For some reason I think Golbez will end up being a shard of Nabrieles or Deudalaphon, as they can survive the Void and their offices are unknown. Not to mention that'd make them Azem's "brother" like Golbez was to Cecil in FF4.
