They do. They just encourage you to play the "correct class" (Black Mage) by neutering its competitors and making them not fun to play.

REALLY does seem that way doesn't it! I can't believe they had the audacity to take our hard hits away and sit there and act like this is some kind of improvement when they knew how people were going to react to that.
The real question is how do we get yoshi-p to stop being a one trick pony and play literally any other class so the other jobs will be treated just as well as his main. Perhaps next fanfest we can all try to ask yoshi-p to play white mage and force him to just spam glare for a couple of hours and see if he can keep on the facade of everything being fine and dandy.

Wouldn't that be a funny job requirement, if you want to work on balancing this class you have to have at least orange parse >_<

				Do they play the game?
Yes they do.
Do they play all the jobs?
Surely not.
MCH has been asking for charges on Hypercharge since 5.0.
In 5.1 NIN got bunshin on charges but not MCH.
In 6.0 WAR and DRK got IR/Delirium on charges, MNK got Perfect Balance on charges but not MCH.
In 6.1 DRK and SGE got BW/Soteria on charges but not MCH.
I may be forgetting some things on charge, but I'm pretty sure no one plays BRD/DNC/MCH considering the ranged role is the one with the most feedback of all.
We know for sure someone in the Dev team plays SMN so I'm actually confused how the rework was accepted.
There is job favoritism but there is also questionable choices.
Claiming Kaiten must go because button bloat makes no sense when SAM has 3 AoE/ST variant.
At this point I just want any evidence of them clearing any content that requires more than one brain cell. The nin devs clearly haven't completed ew ex trial 1 with the 6 gapclosers debacle. If the nin devs don't play the game, I doubt the other devs do either.
The simple answer is no, they seem to not play their own game. Balance is currently mental and all over the place. They’ve over buffed most of the jobs and under tuned others. Let’s not even mention how reaper was apparently “OP” and now it’s her power crept on an extreme level
I actually think the balance isn't too bad personally. I'll give credit where credit is due, that the devs are good at punching numbers into calculators and make things come out to be around the same. But we need game designers, not mathematicians. Game designers know unfunning jobs is always a bad idea, and a calculator can't do much to alleviate that.
