I don't think there is any other reason other than your last statement. The only reason why I am even remotely interested in housing this go is because myself and some other peeps left our former FC and started one of our own. It did not take long for me to see that showing how many entries a plot has would keep the bidders at bay, making the lottery period entirely redundant. Might as well make it a 24-hour period with a reasonable amount of notice placed on the loadstone. OR, the placard only shows that at least one entry has been placed.

I am not an economist, been involved in the FFXIV housing woes, or even very perceptive, and even I can point out with relative ease the faulty means the devs go about handling this thing.

    1. The outdoor space is about a third to half of the size of similar plots in mist, at least for larges and mediums. I could fit 2 regalia end to end from door to gate and still have room left over in mist. In empyreum I couldn't do that.
    2. Ishgard has quite frankly, views as depressing as the goblet which is the unpopular of the previous 4 districts. 2 of the 3 mansions and about half the smalls look straight at the walls on either side, the environment is mostly monotone grey and the mountains in the distance arent exactly nice to look at when most of the time its cloudy
    3. The layout of ishgard's housing leaves something to be desired with a lot of stairs and odd market board placements

also friday is probably the day most tickets will enter since thats when everyone is free.
I like Ishgard in general so trying for a plot was a no brainer for me. I'm totally not getting the plot I threw my bid into, but oh well. I have a house already, so I'm not exactly losing anything by trying. Just...lacking a very large sum of gil for a few days.

While I cannot give a specific date on when personal housing will be implemented, I can say that prices will be completely separate from free company housing, and, naturally, far more affordable.

And thats how the bots got excluded.
Except RMT knew back in November there would be a waiting period. They were getting their FCs set up well in advance.

What has them stymied now is that they thought they had found a way around whatever waiting period SE set to transfer FC Master to the buyer. A little testing when the servers came up on Tuesday revealed that using the method auto-disbands the FC. Now they need to decide if the risk of having SE discover their RMT before the resale is finalized is worth the potential reward.

Cause someone else tested and was denied.. or is lying.
The restriction is if you already own a personal house on the same world. If you don't already own one, then all your alts can enter. If 2 alts enter and win, only the first to buy the house will get one. The other would forfeit.

FC houses are a different situation and there's been some bugs with FC relocation getting discussed in the Housing forum.

I assume that noone is lying here. It seems that there are accounts which can make only one single bid per all characters and there are others that can bid with all 8. So far seems like it was intentional on SE part.
This issue has been more or less elaborated in one of the "Housing" forum threads:

Any alternate characters in the FC will get an error message that the service account is locked from buying more tickets. Everyone else in the FC who meets the criteria (are members for at least 30 days, have permission to buy/relocate, and have the money on hand, etc) can buy tickets on every character they have in the FC.

If the character who purchased the house from the placard (and is still actively in the FC) leaves the FC, all of this unlocks and resets. (Do not do this. Leaving the FC and returning to it will just trigger the 30 day membership rule and screw you out of a ticket if you already bought one.)

I can see what SE is attempting here, but it's backwards. If you're trying to prevent people from buying more FC houses with shell FCs, there are better ways to do this. You're just locking some people out of lotto tickets who simply want to help relocate their FC to a new plot.

Flagged accounts should only be restricted from purchasing brand new housing, not moving current housing to a new plot.

It's ridiculous. Lottery isn't the "answer". Is it really that hard to add more housing districts to meet demand? I bought all the mounts, minions, emotes in the cash shop. I've spent over $1500 last year and have pre-orders for another $600 in their regular store. I'd have no problem forking over more money just to get out of this constant annoyance of trying to secure a lot. Call it the "whale district" (a term used for people who spend way too much cash on cash shops) if they must. They can use that money to upgrade the servers to allow more districts for everyone else if it's simply a matter of resources. Or they should be pressed to answer the question as to why they cannot create more districts to meet demand.

It actually is not really a bad idea for them to progressively add wards as players purchase them with real money. How ever they always go back to the same tired excuse of server space issues which prevents additional housing. Yoshi P is the king of false promises and excuses.

That's a complete circular pattern there. I've been disappointed by you for the last time, SE. It was fun, but this current attitude isn't gonna cut it for me anymore.
The fact that they allow you to buy 590 gear.... What are you expecting? them to just hand you gear that's almost BIS? /facepalm give it a week or two and prices will drop significantly. Gear is stupid easy to get in this game

good that you have time spare but not everyone has stop being a big baby and grow up.

How do 4 people deserve a guild house more than 2 people?
because they don't want people like you, who spend most time on the game afk clicking on board to have more chance just because you grabbed one person to click with you. honestly? personal housing sucks I don't see a reason for individuals owning medium/mansions when the housing is a limited feature, it reminds that time when a an entire ward by themselves and no one else could have a house but guess spammers will say "that was fair".
