Augment Crafted Gear

I was looking at upgrading my crafted chest piece for my RDM (Classical Signifier's Chiton) and I noticed that the augmented version has completely different substats on it than the original version. Is this typical for augmented crafted gear or is this a bug? I assumed that the stats would be the same, but that the item would just be at a higher ilvl. Instead, the ilvl 590 augmented piece has spell speed on it, whereas the original ilvl 580 crafted piece does not.

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing when going to upgrade my RDM crafted top. It has also been noted that the alliance gear has the exact same substats as the base crafted gear, which makes me wonder if the stats for the alliance gear and the augmented gear didn't end up getting swapped by accident?

The sad part is, there will probably be no compensation either for replacing items that had their stats changed if they were deemed better. Say someone took one of the pieces in the new Alliance raid to replace a 580; well that's too bad shouldn't have rushed it is the excuse they will give rather than give some type of exchange feature or something at least...not that it matters though, all that stuff is cosmetic anyways.
