NIN's TA to be a personal buff instead of debuff (and reaper's death's design)

A complaint I have about this change, it's not a buff to the nin and instead a debuff despite it affecting only the nin.

While an unlikely issue to encounter in 8 man content, hitting the debuff limit in alliance/hunts/fates is much more frequent than the other thread I've made previously where I somehow managed to receive so many buffs, inner release doesn't grant buffs. (outside of bozja)

I'm not sure what compelled the change, but I'm certain that it stayed the same and the only difference now would be an additional debuff bloat on a target. (strange issue overall)
It lines up as usual as long as you double weave mug and bunshin together and TA.

It's a small thing, but it could've simply just be a buff for both rpr and nin.
Make death's design function the same as storm's eye and trick attack be like lance charge/no mercy/riddle of fire.

The icon might look weird but also a small thing, could've been entirely the reverse and stayed the same by having TA be the 120 cooldown and Mug the 60 second cooldown, equally small and whatever since it has happened already.

I could only figure it to be "stronger than usual" in dungeons, but it's a dungeon, w2ws already made things be cleared within 15-30 seconds of combat after finally arriving at the wall.

(while at it, raise the buff cap at a reasonable amount)

Unfortunately, this change does also impact any fight with multiple enemies or adds. Whilst the power of Trick in solo is tuned for, changing Trick to be a personal buff instead of a debuff on the enemy would be a huge buff to Ninja's AOE in two and three target situations. For example, in the Epic of Alexander, the first phase has you fighting both Living Liquid and the Liquid Hand. For a NIN, they can gain a lot of potency by dropping Doton on both targets. Currently, it would be 560 per target, with one target most likely Trick'd to give a bonus 56 potency. If Trick becomes a personal buff, that bonus immediately doubles to 102 potency. In three target, that's a whopping 158 potency.

This change would make Ninja increasingly strong in multiple target situations. Whether or not this is warranted, I don't know -- we don't have the numbers on how strong NIN is in multiple target situations relative to other melee classes.

That aside, Trick Attack as an ability simply doesn't sound like a personal buff. It sounds like a debuff you place on a target -- you are performing a Trick Attack on them, and lowering their guard. It would feel somewhat strange for Trick Attack to only affect the Ninja, as opposed to affecting an enemy... did we trick ourselves?

It'd be fine as a 10% buff, other class have aoes as well and mug still exists. I'm unsure how SAM would deal with it but I think MNK/DRG with their own 60 second personal buff, already works similar enough to NIN through chakra, LoD, etc.

I'd pit NIN to be more similar to DRG for how it has a similar timing (excluding gcd speed) to battle litany + lance charge that already exists and their burst window comes with some aoes.

LL/LH, has about... 3 gcds of aoes during burst, doton, goka, katon. and no longer using hellfrog in TEA cause it needs 3 targets which there isn't unless it's jagd dolls padding. Most groups should clear LL/LH within 2 minutes and to add, 120 windows are only used in the opening. Including BJCC unless we're behind on dps for the pot window in P3 to need 120 to be used on bjcc. We no longer have a target with 5% dmg vuln after the opener from forced downtime for the rest of the group.

I wouldn't consider it a huge buff but something that was done to make things different... which leads to niche issues like these. A 5% vuln on a target for the nin to do 10% more personal dps like a drg/mnk.
