Magitech. That's literally what I was referring to. I didn't realize wishing for a job like Chemist would spark so much controversy. If you wanna go that route, MCH and GNB are also magic.
Machinist shoots aether condensed in their lunchbox.
Gunbreaker abilities are magical effects caused by pulling the trigger on a sword that has a pistol grip hilt to activate an aether cartridge that has no bullet in it. The questline even makes fun of Garlean gun-swords.
Please give me a chemist job se
One example i can give is Yoshi P stating he didn’t want to change healers much this patch due to Ultimate being so close, but then goes on to say he’s going to be making somewhat drastic changes to dps but believes the players are competent enough to adapt to the changes before ultimate arrives…. Beyond that, the number of jobs for each role is a pretty big double standard, especially when they say things like they want to appeal to all types of players for each role.Sage has floating laser guns.
Otherwise, they tried to make a gun-toting chemist 7 years ago and didn’t like how it turned out and salvaged AST and MCH out of it.
Also, not sure how this is “another” example of role double-standards. What ones are there? How is this a double-standard when there was never any promise or male viera-sized effort to get a tech-based class for any of the roles?
I would’ve preferred chemist, but after they said the mechanic they had for it already got redone into AST’s mechanic and its weapon was given to MCH, I’ve figured that we’re just not going to get it and that SGE is closest we will get to that aesthetic and anything else wouldn’t be the original vision they were looking for.
That's double standard after the fact and even then, it's purely coincidental. People didn't specifically request tech based jobs, they requested specific jobs.
I wonder how this thread title would've been framed as, if by example, spellblader came in as a tank.
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
