There's a population within the game that want to be able to turn off other peoples glamour on their side. People being averse to a system like this is not surprising.
Agreed. Downplaying that concern is honestly a much larger concern for me.

Do y’all close your eyes when another player is around just in case the armor they’re wearing “trolls” you? Genuinely curious, since the idea of poses, emotes, and glamour seems to be such an “in your face” interference of your experience.

The fact that this is even a possibility makes the idea dead on arrival without restraints.

Considering there is a 5 second period in which plates show up when you enter the new PvP mode, I don’t think it’s totally out of the question. But anyway, I’m over arguing it.Over reactions to criticisms aside, surely you understand the difference between chancing upon some rando in town in a bikini and being able to just adjust your camera or move VS having a full on downblouse/upskirt blasted across your screen that won't go away until you manually click it away.

To the OP: it’s a great idea and hopefully we will see this plates expanded, as they give us an entirely new layer of creativity and expression in this multiplayer game.

Why do people come up with arbitrary and fake complaints to fuel problems that don't exist?
I don't give a damn about what you're wearing or what your character look like, and i sure as hell wouldn't give a commendation based on any of that. In fact, the only reason I'd give a commendation is if someone did something commendable (I though about doing it to complete that challenge log entry once, but I changed my mind).I wonder how the people who are scared of portraits deal with normal content. Do y’all close your eyes when another player is around just in case the armor they’re wearing “trolls” you? In other words, I don't hand out commendations. This system would be a pointless waste of the devs time and mine.
If you're looking for validation or internet points or whatever, you can post your character posing somewhere on the internet. I'm sure there are sites for that.

For you. That doesn't mean that it's pointless for everyone else. Judging by my own experiences in random duties, I firmly believe that most players hand out commendations. The current commendation button is kind of clunky and annoying. The OP's rendition of what the dialog could look like is far better than what we have now. I'd love to just have the dialog pop up at the end of the instance so that I can quickly click on a portrait before the player that I want to commend zones out. The current system is a scramble to open the dialog and hope that I can click the name and commend buttons in time for my commendation to go through.

I think its a neat Idea, let people express themselves.

Would like this for dungeons as well. I really like Adventurer plates and am excited to see what they do with it in the future.
It needs to be an opt in thing to replace the normal Commendations. People don't want to have catgirl butt plates blasted across their screen at the end of dungeons. Well some people do, but it should be a choice.

Yes I agree. But I’m sure the devs are working on making sure the plates themselves will not allow pictures like that. This commendation screen will also hopefully allow players to commend those who have already left the duty.
While I agree commendations should be handed out to the better performing team members this more about modernizing the UI and taking what the devs are already doing and giving feedback so they can make the most of their work.
Remember that some rewards, although just in PvP at the moment, are now additional customization options for your plates, so if they add these types of rewards it would make sense to put these plates in highly visible areas so people feel like these rewards merit acquiring them.
In my opinion though, this method should be the default new option with a toggle in the settings to opt out. Since I do believe the majority of the player base would enjoy the change.
