Which, again, would not have been an issue if they were not of lewd/inappropriate nature. The entire point of that talk was that SE did not want to be held liable for players making inappropriate pictures and posting them as if they were some kind of official image. They don't care in the slightest when people make fashion pictures like the Eorzea Collection.

The dev position has been fairly consistent on these kinds of things across the board, so it shouldn’t be hard to extrapolate their position here. They have always been a “as long as it doesn’t get us in trouble or irritate others it should be fine”.

Their music system doesn’t allow for copyrighted music, but they don’t really care as there hasn’t been a problem. This has mostly been a non issue because most people consider songs as covers.

Lewd stuff however has been more strict, such as bans for brothel ads or the Twitter pic removal.

Seems obvious to me they are trying to keep the game clean looking and less likely to result in scrutiny by lawmakers etc which -again- is a potential loss of significant revenue.

You need to make this go mainstream to maximize its value. Therefore please remove the little commendation tab at the bottom right of the screen at the end of the dungeon and then:

1. When you exit a dungeon the screen changes to the new commendation screen displaying adventurer plates
2. You click on the one you want to commend or a No Thanks/Skip
3. You load into the overworld

Then, people will actively be very interested in making their plates as cool as possible.

Late Edit, this is more or less what I mean, taken directly from the PVP page and modified with Paint a bit.

Personally, I’d prefer to see them when loading into a dungeon versus them being a commendation overlay. Maybe they could also make it for 8-man stuff, but 24-man raids might be tricky. Maybe only show your alliance?

I think the plates showing upon loading in are a neat touch. Even if some are…questionable.

Lewd/suggestive poses using in game tools only clearly is going to be M under Classifications. To hit MA15+ requires a implied sex scene/implied drug use.

However, if you are talking about Rimworld getting RC way back in 2013 because they added drugs... that is being reviewed. Other than that I am not aware of any bans outside the usual "sexualises children" loli bans (those should always burn in a fire).

Well considering the fact I haven't gotten a conclusive reply I'm going to assume everyone here is talking about in-game nudity as real nudity would already be banned/not allowed.

Such being the case if you have a problem being exposed to bikini pixels and experience anxiety any time they show up on your screen I suggest you seek professional help rather than drag everyone else down around you.

That said there is most definitely a difference between the above and intentionally lewd imagery, though to be honest I would put it on the same level as intended violence. It's on the cusp, but you can still get away with it.

Interesting idea.
But I don't think it's a good idea.
Like, why lock players behind a "would you like to donate a commendation" button before they can load into the overland and continue playing?
And not everyone is interested in the Adventure Playes at all, so don't force feed it to them if they don't want to.

Like most things in FFXIV it should be a choice for the players, not something that slaps them in the face every time they try doing something that required a party.

I'm in love with everything added and it's only in beta so I'm excited for what to come I'm just hoping for a few things

1. The option to toggle to show both our FC & GC along with the on/off times.
2. The option to edit the plate and move things around and scale them like accents and stuff
3. The ability to add stickers to our plates.
4. A better-mirrored option that works well with the backgrounds/mirrors them as well (looking at you class ones)
5. A bio section since the text just using our search info isn't enough of a text limit for those of us who wanna write more things
6. Lastly a second page to the plates that will show what all our classes levels are

that's pretty much what my dream for additions to the plate system would be

I find them okay - But I can go with the less horny stuff in the plates, either through a toggle to give them a default appearance or through more restrictions on them.

Using them on commendations? Yeah, would be cool - But make me able to commend them even after they left the instance while I am still in it.
