I'd rather be at work.
I'm home because I'm sick.
What's the issue with waiting a few hours?
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
Absolutely nothing. While I would like to have more stuff to do at work right now, I do have to go out for a bit, and I know FF and everything to be done with the new patch will be waiting for me when I get back home(yay working from home?)
Edit: Missed part of my sentence.

I took the day off :P
Not the only one.
Same here - although I'll admit that I drove home at lunchtime to play for 40 minutes!
I just want to fail all the mechanics along with everyone else. Putting the damage dorito on the blind runner will be much funnier later
the main story will definitely wait for you and have days before you find out you didn't get a house no matter when you enter the lottery so I wouldn't worry too much
real life comes first afterall...
nothing really being sick sucks hope ya feel better I technically work from home and could play but I try to avoid playing on work time set the example for the kiddo and all that jazz
