Updated Retainer ventures with 6.1 drop items we can't desynth or trade for sea

The quick ventures for the post patch now drop moonward and 81-90s dungeon gear. While the dungeon gear can be desynthesized or traded for GC seals the moonward gear can not. Is this a bug or does it typically get patched in later...

Sucks to "discard" these items that I dont need for my characters or retainers.

The Moonward stuff is a bit of an eyesore, yeah. Weird retainers are bringing us gear we can't action on.

We should be able to desynth the Moonward gear in 6.2. That's pretty standard (the most recent tomestone/raid gear released can't be desynthed or traded for GC Seals until new tomestone/raid gear is released).

I agree it's an annoyance for now unless someone has a lot of open retainer space to be storing those items for another 4 months. I understand that SE is trying to make it easier for players late to the Endwalker MSQ more options for getting some level appropriate gear faster but I suspect most of those players aren't going to have their retainers at a high enough level to get those items from quick ventures.

But this isn't the raid gear this is the early gear the 570 gear that isn't able to be desynthed or turned in. The 580 gear that's crafted and from primals is able to be turned in so this in theory should be. This seems like an oversight and hopefully they fix shortly.

The Moonward gear is 6.0 tomestone gear. It's not an oversight.

Really, it if can't be turned in, desynthed or sold to NPC venors, then it just shouldn't be on the quick venture loot tables. Even other items on the loot tables that can't be desynthed can at least be sold to NPC. 10-20% of my overall quick ventures are moonward (on 10 retainers, that's a lot of armory chest/inventory space, and wasted retainer ventures). 4.5-5 months for the next patch to be able to trade it in is just really annoying. Having it not appear on the loot table at all, would fix it. :-/

It's not exactly like farming aphorisms is hard, an expert roulette daily will fill out almost a full set in a week or less. And if you aren't in endgame content anyways, you dont need the 570 gear right off the bat. Players get 560 with the MSQ already. and the base panda raids easily get 580 gear now that weekly restrictions are removed.

It's an oversight to include it in the loot table, quick explorations has never ever rewarded items that you couldn't either at least vendor, desynth or turn in for expert deliveries until now.

Not true, for years level 60 blue Disciple of the Hand and Land gear that is not vendorable, desynthable or redeemable for GC seals has been a possible reward from retainer Quick Ventures - whenever they've come up in Quick Ventures I've always just thrown them away (I'm not into crafting or gathering), so this is really nothing new.

While this is true it still does not make it the correct design.

Yeah... I don't really care about precedent. Only the product, and right now that includes a bunch of new gear I can't do anything with. Whether this was the past design or not, I don't care. For all intents and purposes it's like getting another Stuffed Bom Boko, and no one wants more Stuffed Bom Boko.
