I really need to set my client to German one day and just poke around to see what everything is called, because stuff like this is just so fascinating to me! So, you're a Phoenix Legionnaire basically? That's the Immortal Flames, I'm guessing (the Ul'dah faction). A while back I found out Conjurers are called "Druids," and that is WAY cooler than what we got in English. I wish we had that instead!

Somebody else posted a shot where their GC rank was "Großsturmbootsmann," and if Google Translate is telling the truth I guess that's a "Great Storm boatman." In the English version, this would be "Storm Captain." Is "bootsmann" typically the word for a ship's captain in German, or is FFXIV being cute and using archaic language or something? Gosh, I can't imagine what Urianger must be like in various other translations...
